We LOVE our new apartment and Phil loves his new job assignment. He is now only 3-5 minutes away from work, depending on if he hits a red light, and it is wonderful! The pregnancy is going well. I had one day of nausea when I was pregnant with Livi, but this one has been quite different. The first trimester I was nauseated about every day, but as long as I ate every few hours I could keep it pretty well under control. My belly is getting bigger MUCH faster too. I already have several shorts that I can't button anymore. With Livi I didn't start to poke out until about 25 weeks but this one is a different story, I love it though. My due date is February 15!
Utah was wonderful... long, but wonderful. I went for my beautiful Grandma Chappell's funeral and a family reunion. The funeral was really nice. My sister Maddie sang, "The Call" by Regina Spektor per my grandma's request and it was amazing. She was accompanied by a friend on the cello and the piano. Randi, my other sister, spoke and it was my favorite talk. The whole funeral was really so her. One of my grandmas step daughters played Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" from the pulpit. It was hilarious. Anyone who knew my grandma knows that she loved her some Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin etc. She really was the coolest grandma EVER. I remember driving in the car with her and her jamming out to Jimi Hendrix. She was actually deaf in one ear from lying on a speaker at a Led Zeppelin concert! She was seriously awesome. She also loved her silver and turquoise jewelry and all of the grand daughters were able to go through her rings and pick some out. I love mine. She will be terribly missed.
Because my trip was so last minute, I was fortunate enough to get a buddy pass so I didn't have to pay out the nose, (thanks for your help Lora!) However, as I was desperately trying to get on a flight to Utah from Las Vegas I was wishing I had just bought some tickets. My wonderful uncle Brett was helping me from Utah as much as he could and eventually he just booked me on a shuttle to St. George, from St. George my mom's friend Jana picked me up and drove me to Beaver, where my mom picked me up and we drove to Gunnison to stay with my uncle until the funeral a few days later. It ended up taking me over 13 hours to get there! Fortunately, coming back was a breeze and I made it on both of my flights with no problem.
Since we did so much and stayed at so many different places I'll let the pictures do the talking.
Livi was obsessed with the IPad, (which my mom got as a gift) I personally think they are a waste, but Livi loved playing a matching game and the piano.
My uncle set up this water slide in his backyard, Livi didn't want anything to do with it until the water was turned off. Then she couldn't get enough. Livi pretty much picked her nose the entire time we were in Utah, it's way more dry than she is used to! (I forgot her swimming suit so she's sporting her undies.)
sweet Easton helping her climb the slide.
rolling down the hill with her cousins and second cousins (?)
One minute they were best friends the next Livi was making Evie cry

All of us minus Nate, he couldn't be there because he was in the process of moving to New Orleans.
I think this picture perfectly exhibits each of their personalities.

One of her favorite past times at Gammy's house. If she ever disappeared this is where I would find her. Here or with the kittens.
For example:

My Dad wanted all of his kids to perform their music abilities (well those that possess any)for his birthday so we had a little concert in his backyard. Michael's band performed, Eric and Tommy performed and Maddie sang. It was lovely.
She loved swinging in Grandpa's back yard
Cecilia's house riding the four wheeler and roasting smores. She LOVED this thing.

Livi absolutely adores her Uncle Michael! This was one of her favorite games.
The cabin!! I hadn't been back here for several years and it was just as wonderful as I remember. We had a little reunion with all of us siblings, minus Nate :-(
Michael again entertaining Livi
Julie sharing her fashion sense with Livi
We went and spent a few days with Cecilia at her house in Draper. Livi and Lizzy picked up right where they left off.

My Dad and Evie have the same birthday, so this was their party the night before I left. Evie is yelling at Livi to stop pushing her.
Livi "helping" Evie open her presents.
Evie got a Princess and the Frog dress so Randi brought out one of her other dresses so they could dress up together.
It was SO good to see everyone and it is SO good to be home and back with Phil. We missed him like crazy. He would sing to Livi at night before she went to sleep on speaker phone and Livi would have the biggest grin on her face. Now she gets to hear him in real life!
