I just love this picture, it has no relevance to this entry what so ever:)So Phil is camping tonight with the scouts and the baby is asleep so I thought I would write down a few things since I have so much time. Let me just say, I HATE being home alone at night. I get scared and I have the hardest time sleeping alone. Luckily, I just got off the phone with Phil and he doesn't think they are going to spend the night (they are "camping out" in the backyard of one of the other scout leaders.) So I am going to wait up for him:)
Last week I joined a book club with some friends and I'm really excited about it. Our book for this month is "I Capture the Castle" I haven't read it yet, but I look forward to it. We had our first meeting last week and it was SO much fun. We just made a list of all the books (and movies) that we want to read and watch. We should be busy for quite a while. The best part though was the food. There were cinnamon rolls, raspberry lemon scones (to die for), peanut butter bar things, lemonade and the list goes on and on! Let's face it, I will sit through just about anything if food is involved. The best part of the group is that we are all going to go and see Les Miserables in March!!! We are taking our husbands to this one which makes it even better. I LOVE that musical and haven't seen it since the 3rd grade. Needless to say, I'm beyond excited!
Today another friend had a potato bar and fruit smoothie get together. We all brought a different ingredient and had a food fest. I seriously drank 4 smoothies, they were some of the best I've ever had. And Olivia loved them too! I absolutely love living in The Woodlands! I have never lived somewhere where the people are so friendly and normal! There is a group of about 6 of us that gets together at least every week. We meet every Tuesday to watch the Bachelor, we have the "Flavor of the Month" club, where we get together once a month and all bring a different dish to share. And our husbands are friends so we can all get together and hang out as well. It's almost a utopian society. It will be a sad day if and when we move away.
Speaking of moving...Phil handed in his final grad school application last night!!! We will know where he got accepted in April. I'm so excited to see what's going to happen next! And I'm so excited that Phil is done writing his essays! Yeah!
