Anyway, this year I did not want to cook. I wanted to go out on the town. We had a babysitter all lined up, and then....sickness struck. But it all worked out in the end. We ordered in and watched a movie and had a fabulous time just being together. Valentines day isn't that big of deal to me because every day feels like Valentines Day! Ok, I'm kidding...almost every day.
I just have to tell about the card I bought for Phil. Normally, I just write him a nice note or something (again, I'm cheap/frugal) But I was in the pharmacy waiting for Livi's prescription and I was reading the cards and came across one that was so perfect for Phil I just had to get it. First, it's important to know that Phil is big on speaking grammatically correct. Something I strive to do since marrying him since I don't like being corrected. One of his big pet peeves is ending a sentence in a preposition, i.e. "Where is the meeting at?" He would say, "Where is the meeting?" So I came across this card that has two women eating lunch and one says, "Who are you spending Valentines Day with?" The other woman replies, "Don't end a sentence in a preposition." You open the card and the first woman says, "Who are you spending Valentines Day with, B@#$*?" I laughed out loud! I normally hate swear words, but I felt this called for an exception. Phil got a big kick out of it as well, so it was well worth the $2.50.
